As I install on my phone yesterday Grindr Android, I scrolled down to take a look at the application directory "related" and "relevant." My mouth fell open. There, first on the list was "Research on sex offenders, an application created by Life360 unoccupied which allows you to" find sex offenders close and you protect your child ... So you can keep your family safe. "
I was flabbergasted. How and why this link has been made? What could be the application has to do with others? How many potential users were deterred by Grindr downloading relevance because they saw this as an application linked list? In essence: Who made the connection, how does the occupation, and what harm does it do?
For those who do not know, Grindr describes himself as a "simple, reckless, fun, and free to find and meet guys gay, bi and curious for dating, socializing, and the alliance." This is one of a series of new technologies for geolocation to gays who want to keep company, where "socializing" can mean a variety of things, including chatting, hanging to have sex or develop a commitment. You start the application and immediately see how the others and some information about them.
